 The Jews are the
chosen people!
Apostle Paul helps us
to catch up!
Don't be mistaken, the Jews are the chosen
people. Yes, some of them nailed Jesus to the cross. But they
were fulfilling GOD's will to give the Body of Christ the salvation and
forgiveness of our sins. Jesus was first and foremost supposed to be
the savior of the Jews. We former Gentiles are not an afterthought
either, but the first attempt of GOD had focused on his chosen people.
The converted sinner
Saul of Tarsus who became the Apostle Paul, then brought the word of
GOD to the Gentiles to have them form the Body of Christ, which are the
people - Jews or Gentiles (non-Jews) - who accept Jesus Christ as their
savior. And for us non-Jews, the only part of the Bible that has the
instructions for us
is the word of the former persecutor of Christians, the Apostle Paul, and
the references he makes to the parts of the Bible that pertain to us as
"our" word of GOD.
The Bible is actually GOD's word first and
foremost for the
Jews. The marching orders and instructions for us as the body of Christ
come from the Apostle Paul and can be found in Acts, Paul's Epistles to
the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians,
Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus, and Philemon, and have to be
understood in context with the entire scripture. (See:
rightly dividing the word of truth)
GOD called Paul as the only one to preach HIS
word to the Gentiles (and kings, and the children of Israel):
[Act 9:15-16]
But the Lord said unto him (Ananias,
as the messenger of GOD),
Go thy way:
for
he
(Paul)
is
a
chosen
vessel
unto
me,
to
bear
my
name
before
the
Gentiles,
and
kings,
and
the
children
of
Israel:
For
I
will
show
him
how great things
he
must
suffer
for
my name's sake.
So it is hard to understand that anyone who
believes in GOD can hold a grudge against the Jews, especially remembering
Jesus classification of non-Jews as dogs.
[Mat 15:22-28 ]
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto
him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord,
thou son of
David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her
not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her
away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said,
I
am
not
sent
but
unto
the lost
sheep
of
the
house
of
Israel.
Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help
me. But he answered and said, It is
not
meet
to
take
the
children's
bread,
and
to
cast
it
to
dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said
unto her, O
woman,
great
is
thy
faith:
be
it
unto
thee
even as
thou
wilt. And her
daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Jesus calls the Gentiles "dogs" opposite his
chosen people, the Jews, whom he calls children, and explains clearly,
that he was only sent
unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
So if the Pope, currently Benedict XVI, the
German former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, declares to be the heir of the
Apostle Peter, he claims himself as an advisor to the Jews, or head of a
Church for and preacher to the Jews, not as the head of the Body of
Christ. Peter and all Apostles except the Apostle Paul were
preaching to the Jews, not to the non-Jews.
So, surprisingly for many people, the Pope is
actually the head of a church for the Jews.
